The Windber Ramblers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won four contests by 29 points or more this season. They breezed by Shade on the road to the tune of 54-21. With Windber ahead 35-12 at the half, the matchup was all but over already.
Windber was led to victory by Kaylie Gaye and Mariah Andrews. Gaye scored 12 points along with five rebounds and three steals, while Andrews scored 17 points along with nine rebounds and four steals. Andrews hasn't dropped below eight rebounds for three straight games.
Windber now has a winning record of 6-5. As for Shade, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-7.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Windber will take on Blacklick Valley at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Blacklick Valley will be coming into the matchup with an undefeated record on the line. Shade and Forbes Road will face off at 7:15 p.m. on January 3rd without much rest after finishing up games yesterday.
