There's no place like home for the East Bakersfield Blades, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road last Tuesday. They strolled past West with points to spare on Thursday, taking the game 50-33. This was payback for East Bakersfield, who suffered a 52-38 loss the last time these two teams met.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead East Bakersfield to victory, but perhaps none more so than Saryah Webster, who dropped a double-double on 22 points and 13 rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Webster has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Esmeralda Roman, who scored ten points along with six rebounds and six steals.
Despite the loss, West saw an underclassman step up: Iyanna King mathews scored 17 points along with five steals. King mathews hasn't dropped below 17 points for four straight games. Another player making a difference was Rhianna Roberson, who scored five points along with ten rebounds and two steals.
East Bakersfield's victory bumped their record up to 15-13. As for West, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 14-11.
East Bakersfield does not have any more games scheduled as of now. West also has no future games currently scheduled.
