The Lincoln High Links's game on Friday was a tough loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Saturday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Grand Island 50-21 on the road. That looming 50-21 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for Lincoln High yet this season.
Lincoln High's victory bumped their record up to 4-14. As for Grand Island, their loss was their 14th straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-16.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Lincoln High and Pius X will face off at 5:45 p.m. on February 6th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Hopefully Pius X focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up ten on Saturday. As for Grand Island, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Fremont at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Grand Island is facing Fremont at the right time seeing as Fremont is stuck on a nine-game losing streak.
