The Roane County Raiders will venture away from home to  take on the Ravenswood Red Devils  at 7:30  p.m.  on Friday. Roane County has given up an average of 26.2  points per game this season, but Friday's  game will give them a chance to turn things around.
While Roane County's  win against Ripley wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Raiders had just enough and edged out the Vikings  38-36. The Raiders haven't had any issues with the Vikings recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive  victory against them.

Roane County found their leader in sophomore  Javon Letourneau, who rushed for 201 yards and three  scores while picking up 9.6 yards per carry. With that strong performance,  Letourneau is now averaging an impressive 117.6  rushing yards per game.  Leo Rogers was another major influence, as he rushed for 45 yards and ran in a TD.
 Roane County didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. In fact, those interceptions all came courtesy of defensive juggernaut  Jacob Greathouse.
Meanwhile, Ravenswood scored the most  points they've had  this season last Friday, but it wasn't enough. They took  a  28-19 hit to the loss column at the hands of Sissonville.
 Roane County will need to focus on slowing down  Owen Curtis, one of several Ravenswood players who made an impact when they last played. He rushed for 65 yards and one  TD, and also threw for 65 yards and one  touchdown. Speaking of playmakers, who could forget  Atreyu Copen, who went all the way with a kickoff return for a touchdown.
 Ravenswood's loss dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Roane County, their win bumped their record up to 4-1.
 Everything came up roses for Roane County against Ravenswood when the teams last played  back in October of 2022, as the  squad secured  a  58-13 victory. In that  contest, the Raiders amassed a halftime lead of  50-6, an impressive feat they'll look to repeat  on Friday.
