Softball Recap: Bishop Leblond Wins Going Away Against Notre Dame De Sion

Bishop LeBlond had to skate by with only a two-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the 18-run drubbing they dealt Notre Dame de Sion on Thursday. The Eagles put the hurt on the Storm with a sharp 21-3 win. The game marked the Eagles' most dominant victory of the season.

Marah Rocha made a splash no matter where she played. On the mound, she struck out six batters over four innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits. Rocha was even better at the plate, going 4-for-5 with two stolen bases, five RBI, and three runs.

In other batting news, Bishop LeBlond got a massive performance out of Lucy Evans, who got on base in all five of her plate appearances with four stolen bases, three runs, and four RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Emersyn Lenz, who got on base in all five of her plate appearances with two stolen bases, three runs, and one double.

Bishop LeBlond kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 14 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Notre Dame de Sion only managed three.

The win got Bishop LeBlond back to even at 5-5. As for Notre Dame de Sion, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-5.

Coming up, Bishop LeBlond will square off against Chillicothe at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Notre Dame de Sion, they will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on St. Teresa's Academy at 4:30 p.m. on the 13th.
