The Credo Gryphon won the last time they faced the Victory Christian Academy Eagles, and things went their way on Friday too. Credo sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 37-35 victory over Victory Christian Academy.
Credo's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Maya Leach, who scored 11 points. That makes it two consecutive games in which Leach has scored at least 25% of Credo's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Kendelle Lannert, who scored 9 points.
Credo's win bumped their record up to 2-4. As for Victory Christian Academy, they now have a losing record at 1-2.
Credo's road trip will continue as they head out to face Roseland Collegiate Prep at 2:30 p.m. on December 2nd. As for Victory Christian Academy, they will face off against Clear Lake at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday.
