A Season-Best Performance from Adrian Sauceda Leads Pace over Pharr-San Juan-Alamo Southwest
On Friday, Pace got the W thanks in part to Adrian Sauceda playing the best football he has all season. Sauceda rushed for 281 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 14.1 yards per carry, good enough to set a new career-high in rushing yards in the process. That high mark didn't come from nowhere: he has now rushed for 148 or more in the last seven games he's played dating back to last season.

Edcouch-Elsa was led to victory by Elijah Trevino, who turned in his biggest game of the season on Saturday. Trevino rushed for 97 yards and a touchdown, and also caught a touchdown. The performance marked the most rushing yards he has had since back in October of 2023. He showed off some serious burst, cutting through the defense on one rush that went for 51 yards.
Trevino must have Porter's number; he was a force to be reckoned with the last time he faced them too. Trevino threw for 286 yards and five touchdowns while completing 72.7% of his passes, and also punched in a touchdown on the ground the last time he and the Cowboys duked it out back in October of 2023.
