The Kingsburg Vikings will challenge the El Diamante Miners at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Kingsburg is coming into the contest hot, having won their last four games.
Kingsburg is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They came out on top against Sanger by a score of 14-10 on Tuesday.
Eric Garcia made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. What's more, he posted two strikeouts, the most he's had since back in March of 2024. He was even better at the plate, scoring two runs while going 2-for-4.

In other batting news, King Rodriquez and Jensen Hirschkorn did most of the damage at the plate: Rodriquez scored three runs and stole a base while getting on base in four of his five plate appearances, while Hirschkorn went 3-for-5 with four RBI and two runs. Rodriquez is crushing it when it comes to stolen bases: he's snagged at least one every time he's taken the field this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Gavin Ekizian, who scored a run while going 2-for-5.
Kingsburg always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .523. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
Meanwhile, El Diamante suffered their biggest defeat since April 17, 2024 on Tuesday. They came up short against Liberty, falling 8-1. The loss continues a trend for the Miners in their meetings with the Patriots: they've now lost three in a row.
Kingsburg's victory was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 4-1. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.5 runs on average over those games. As for El Diamante, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-2-1.
El Diamante's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Kingsburg has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .457. It's a different story for El Diamante, though, as they've only averaged .329. Will they be able to contain Kingsburg's hitters?
Kingsburg beat El Diamante 4-0 in their previous meeting back in February of 2024. Will Kingsburg repeat their success, or does El Diamante have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
