Hemet is on a nine-game streak of home wins (dating back to last season), while Ramona is on a nine-game streak of away wins: one of those streaks is about to end. The Hemet Bulldogs will welcome the Ramona Rams at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Hemet is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 51.4 points per game this season.
Last Wednesday, Hemet beat Canyon Springs 50-41.

Hemet found their leader in sophomore Ruby Gonzalez- Horta, who dropped a double-double with 12 points and 12 rebounds. Gonzalez- Horta is on a roll when it comes to boards, as she's now pulled down eight or more in the last 11 games she's played. Ruby Lindsey was another key player, putting up 13 points and three steals.
Hemet smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 12 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least 12 offensive boards in 16 consecutive matchups.
Meanwhile, Ramona took their game on Wednesday with ease, bagging a 61-28 win over Patriot. The Rams have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 17 contests by 20 points or more this season.
Hemet better focus on containing Jaiden Tibbels and Diana Najera as the pair were huge in Ramona's win. Tibbels posted 20 points in addition to seven rebounds and five assists, while Najera almost dropped a double-double with 12 points and nine steals. That's the most assists Tibbels has posted since back in December of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Olivia Molina, who dropped a double-double with 14 points and ten boards.
Ramona is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 23-5 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 28.9 points over those games. As for Hemet, their victory bumped their record up to 22-4.
Rebounding is likely to be a big factor in this contest: Hemet has been smashing the glass this season, having averaged 38.7 rebounds per game. However, it's not like Ramona struggles in that department as they've been averaging 39.3 boards. With both teams battling to corral missed shots, we'll see if one team can grab an edge.
Hemet was dealt a bruising 59-13 defeat at the hands of Ramona in their previous matchup back in December of 2022. Thankfully for Hemet, Keila Esau (who went 8 of 18 on her way to 22 points along with six rebounds and three steals) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result?
