The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Contra Costa Christian in their matchups with Mendocino: they've now lost four in a row.
When it comes to explaining why Contra Costa Christian lost, one person who can't be blamed is Addison Faber. Despite the final result, she scored 25 points. Faber scored a full 62.5% of Contra Costa Christian's points, the fourth time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points. Hailey Terwilliger was another key contributor, scoring 7 points.
Contra Costa Christian has fallen quite a ways from their 19-5 record last season and are now at 1-3. As for Mendocino, they now have a winning record of 2-1.
Contra Costa Christian will be staying on the road on Saturday to face off against Pacific Bay Christian at 3:00 p.m. on December 2nd. Mendocino will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Willits at 6:30 p.m. on December 12th.
