The Lincoln Lions will be playing at home against the Leigh Longhorns at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Leigh took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Lincoln, who comes in off a win.
Lincoln waltzed into their matchup on Tuesday with two straight wins but they left with three. They snuck past Piedmont Hills with a 37-33 victory. Given Lincoln's advantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 411th, while Piedmont Hills is ranked 922nd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Meanwhile, Leigh ended up a good deal behind Santa Teresa on Tuesday and lost 48-31. Leigh has not had much luck with Santa Teresa recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.
Lincoln is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a nice bump to their 9-5 record this season. As for Leigh, they now have a losing record at 7-8.
Lincoln was able to grind out a solid victory over Leigh when the teams last played back in February of 2023, winning 43-30. Will Lincoln repeat their success, or does Leigh have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
