The St. Bonaventure Seraphs can now show off six landslide victories after their most recent contest on Tuesday. They put the hurt on Bishop Diego with a sharp 60-34 win. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest victory St. Bonaventure has posted since December 7, 2023.
St. Bonaventure's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Sophia Fernandez, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and ten rebounds. Bella Rico was another key contributor, scoring 18 points.
When it comes to explaining why Bishop Diego lost, one person who can't be blamed is Galilea De la cruz. Despite the final result, she scored 19 points. De la cruz is on a roll when it comes to points, as she's now scored 15 or more in the last four games she's played. Another player making a difference was Jiali Coronado, who scored eight points.
The win makes it two in a row for St. Bonaventure and bumps their season record up to 10-7. As for Bishop Diego, their defeat dropped their record down to 16-3.
Coincidentally, the pair will both be playing Cate the next time they take the court. St. Bonaventure will head out to face Cate at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, while Bishop Diego will head out to face them at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday.
