Woodcrest Christian is no doubt hoping to put an end to a nine-game streak of away losses dating back to last season.
Last Friday, Woodcrest Christian came up short against the Eagles and fell 62-50. While losing is never fun, Woodcrest Christian can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 780th, while the Eagles are ranked 387th).
Meanwhile, Linfield Christian's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their fourth straight loss. They took a serious blow against Ontario Christian, falling 114-29. Linfield Christian was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 71-15.
Woodcrest Christian has not been sharp recently as the team's lost eight of their last nine contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-12 record this season. As for Linfield Christian, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-18.
Woodcrest Christian came up short against the Lions when the teams last played back in January, falling 66-56. Can Woodcrest Christian avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
