Having just played yesterday, the Glendale Vikings will head out on the road to face off against the Blacklick Valley Vikings at 6:00 p.m. on December 20th. Glendale will be strutting in after a win while Blacklick Valley will be coming in after a loss.
On Tuesday, it was close, but Glendale ultimately received the gift of a 37-34 win from a begrudging Vikingssquad.
Meanwhile, Blacklick Valley ended up a good deal behind Conemaugh Valley on Monday and lost 64-49. While losing is never fun, Blacklick Valley can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 301st, while Conemaugh Valley is ranked 87th).
Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the most dominant came from Gino DiPaolo, who scored 12 points along with eight rebounds. Those 12 points set a new season-high mark for him. Another player making a difference was Brayden Brown, who scored ten points.
Glendale's victory bumped their record up to 3-4. As for Blacklick Valley, their loss dropped their record down to 4-3.
Glendale might still be hurting after the 68-43 loss they got from Blacklick Valley in their previous meeting on December 1st. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Blacklick Valley's Alex Reba, who went 7 for 12 from beyond the arc en route to 24 points and 2 assists. Now that Glendale knows the damage he can cause, will they be able to stop him this time? Check MaxPreps.com after the match to find out.
