MMI Preparatory School kicked off their season on the road on Saturday and hit a couple of potholes. They took a 45-33 hit to the loss column at the hands of Weatherly. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for MMI Preparatory School in their matchups with Weatherly: they've now lost four in a row.
MMI Preparatory School's loss came despite strong showings from Bria Kringe and Georgia Washko. Kringe scored 19 points along with 6 rebounds, while Washko scored 10 points along with 8 rebounds.
Bethany Houser was the offensive standout of the contest as she scored 20 points along with 7 steals. Another player making a difference was Kelly Reiner, who scored 9 points along with 6 rebounds and 3 blocks.
MMI Preparatory School's defeat dropped their record down to 0-1. As for Weatherly, their victory bumped their record up to 1-0.
MMI Preparatory School will head out on the road to face off against Northwest Area at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Weatherly, they will be playing at home against Lincoln Leadership Academy at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
