Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Salinas). They breezed by the Carmel Padres to the tune of 48-18 on Monday. With the Cowboys ahead 31-9 at the half, the game was all but over already.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Salinas to victory, but perhaps none more so than Jennifer Rivera, who posted eight points. Another player making a difference was Mikayla Nicks, who earned eight points.

The victory got Salinas back to even at 3-3. As for Carmel, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-4.

Salinas has already played their next contest, a 45-36 defeat against King's Academy on the 21st. As for Carmel, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 49-6 win against Seaside on the 18th.
