For the second straight game, Prospect will face off against Piedmont Hills. The Panthers will host the Pirates at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Prospect will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak.
Prospect lost a heartbreaker the last time they played Piedmont Hills, but it's fair to say they got their revenge given the result of Monday's game. The Panthers were the clear victors by a 13-6 margin over the Pirates on Monday. The Panthers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won eight matches by six runs or more this season.

Caleb Entwisle and Jeremy Wang made a splash no matter where they played. On the mound, Entwisle tossed three innings while giving up just one earned (and two unearned) runs off five hits. Meanwhile, Wang struck out seven batters over four innings while giving up three earned runs off three hits. What's more, Entwisle posted four strikeouts, the most he's had since back in April of 2024. At bat, Entwisle went 1-for-3 with four RBI, one run, and one double, while Wang went 2-for-5 with two stolen bases and two runs.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Kevin-Joseph Rieden, who went 2-for-5 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs. He is becoming a predictor of Prospect's success: when he posts at least two runs the team is undefeated (and 7-9 when he doesn't). Wyatt Smith was another key player, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two runs.
Prospect kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Piedmont Hills only managed eight hits.
Prospect pushed their record up to 16-9 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. The road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.0 runs over those games. As for Piedmont Hills, the loss snapped their winning streak at nine games and leaves them with a 17-9 record.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Wednesday as neither team is afraid to steal. Prospect has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 3 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Piedmont Hills struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 3.5 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
