The Centennial Baptist Mustangs kicked off their season on the road on Monday and hit a couple of potholes. They were outmatched by Notus on the road and fell 75-23. Centennial Baptist has struggled against Notus recently, as their matchup on Monday was their third consecutive lost matchup.
Notus' victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Grayson Benitez, who scored 19 points along with 5 rebounds. Another player making a difference was Zeb Porter, who scored 17 points.
Centennial Baptist's defeat dropped their record down to 0-1. As for Notus, their win bumped their record up to 1-0.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Centennial Baptist will take on Greenleaf Friends Academy at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Notus won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Compass Charter at 7:30 p.m. on November 28th.
