The Center Roughriders have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won eight matches by 21 points or more this season. They blew past Spring Hill 49-26. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Center also won the last time the pair played back in January of 2023.
Center got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Lanaijha Johnson out in front who scored 15 points along with eight rebounds and five steals. The contest was Johnson's 19th in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Gabrielle Whisenant, who scored 13 points along with three steals.
Center pushed their record up to 14-7 with that win, which was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season. As for Spring Hill, their loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 11-12.
Center will head out on the road to face off against Gilmer at 5:45 p.m. on Friday. Gilmer will be looking to extend their current five-game winning streak. As for Spring Hill, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against Chapel Hill at 6:00 p.m.
