Softball Recap: Sioux Center Has No Trouble Against Okoboji

While Sioux Center put up plenty of runs on Wednesday, the same can't be said for Okoboji. The Warriors were the clear victors by a 16-0 margin over the Pioneers. Considering the Warriors have won 11 matchups by more than five runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.

Sioux Center has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-9 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.2 runs on average over those games. As for Okoboji, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-16.

Sioux Center didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 9-1 victory against Central Lyon on the 3rd. Okoboji has also already played their next matchup (against MOC-Floyd Valley), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
