Liberty is 3-0 against Citrus Hill since January of 2023, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Monday. The Liberty Bison will face off against the Citrus Hill Hawks at 6:00 p.m. Liberty will be strutting in after a victory while Citrus Hill will be coming in after a defeat.
Liberty posted their biggest win since November 17, 2023 on Thursday. They really took it to West Valley for the full four quarters, racking up a 41-14 win at home.
Liberty can attribute much of their success to Kelli Harris-Wellman, who scored nine points along with 18 rebounds and four steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Alex Barajas, who scored seven points along with five assists and five steals.
Meanwhile, Citrus Hill's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their third straight loss. They were just a bucket shy of victory and fell 35-34 to Perris. Citrus Hill has not had much luck with Perris recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.
Liberty now has a winning record of 9-8. As for Citrus Hill, they have not been sharp recently, as they've lost five of their last six contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-12 record this season.
Liberty strolled past Citrus Hill in their previous meeting back in December of 2023 by a score of 52-34. The rematch might be a little tougher for Liberty since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
