The Erie Royals will head out on the road to face off against the North East Grape Pickers at 7:15 p.m. on Monday.
Last Saturday, Erie ended up a good deal behind Redbank Valley and lost 57-43.
Meanwhile, even though General McLane scored an imposing 56 points on Thursday, North East still came out on top. North East took their contest against General McLane 66-56. The win made it back-to-back wins for North East.
It was another big night for Alexandra Cozzens, who dropped a double-double on 26 points and 14 rebounds. Kayla Forsythe was another key contributor, scoring 10 points along with 7 rebounds and 3 steals.
Erie's defeat dropped their record down to 1-1. As for North East, the victory got them back to even at 2-2.
Everything came up roses for Erie against North East when the teams last played back in December of 2022 as the squad secured a 56-27 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Erie since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
