Aaron Lummus Delivers Electric Effort Vs Sterling
Starting off the list is Milby's Aaron Lummus, who we judged to be the best player in the league this week. Lummus rushed for 139 yards and a touchdown, and also threw for 194 yards and three touchdowns while completing 72.7% of his passes. Those 139 rushing yards gave him a new career-high.
With the loss, Milby broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 4-5. Lummus and Milby will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Spring Woods at 12:00 p.m. on November 9th.

Jefferson Rivas Hernandez Delivers Best Effort of Season
Westbury was led to victory by Jefferson Rivas Hernandez, who turned in his biggest game of the season on Saturday. Rivas Hernandez rushed for 94 yards and two touchdowns on only six carries, and also picked up 70 receiving yards and a touchdown. Westbury is undefeated when Rivas Hernandez posts two or more rushing touchdowns, but 2-4 otherwise.
The win (which was Westbury's third in a row) raised their record to 5-4. Rivas Hernandez and Westbury will head out to face off against Galena Park at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.

Baines Came Up Big in Westbury's 55-0 Win
Keeping Rivas hernandez company is David Baines, a fellow Westbury player. He rushed for 118 yards and two touchdowns on only ten carries, and also threw for 95 yards and two touchdowns on only eight passes. He is becoming a predictor of Westbury's success: when he posts at least two rushing touchdowns the team is 4-2 (and 1-2 when he doesn't).

Andy Lopez Turns in Season-Best Effort
On Thursday, Waltrip got the W thanks in part to Andy Lopez playing the best football he has all season. Lopez picked up a sack and made seven total tackles (1.5 for loss) in addition to snagging an interception which he returned one-yard for a touchdown.
Waltrip's win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 6-2. Lopez and Waltrip will challenge Madison at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday.
