The Osage City Indians will challenge the Atchison County Tigers on Friday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Osage City is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Friday. They never let Royal Valley get on the board and left with a 35-0 victory. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Indians.

Dylan Theel continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, rushing for 128 yards and three scores on only 15 carries, while also picking up 32 receiving yards. Reed Silver helped out on the ground, rushing for 97 yards and a rushing touchdown.
They were just one part of a punishing run game: Osage City was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 237 rushing yards. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their rushing yard total in three consecutive matchups.
Osage City didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Liam Vaughn and Quenten Stark. Osage City received some extra help from Stark, whose fumble return for a touchdown made for one of the most unforgettable moments.
Atchison County never got on the board in their matchup last Friday, but that sure wasn't the case in their game against Eureka on Thursday. They blew past the Tornadoes, posting a 31-0 win. The high-scoring performance was a welcome turnaround for the Tigers' offense, which had struggled in the games prior.
Osage City better keep an eye on Max Bottorff. He was instrumental in Atchison County's win, rushing for 124 yards and a pair of TDs. Bottorff also punched in two rushing touchdowns, which is notable because the Tigers are 3-1 when he posts at least two rushing touchdowns, but 1-4 otherwise.
On the defensive side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to Atchison County's defense and their 11 sacks. Kain Koontz refused to say out of the backfield, picking up 3.5 sacks all by himself. Benjamin Handke got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.
Atchison County picked up their first road victory, bumping their record up to 4-5. As for Osage City, their record is now 8-1.
