The Hanford Bullpups came tearing into Thursday's match with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 10.7 points) and they left with even more momentum. They walked away with a 61-54 win over Mission Oak. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Hanford also won the last time the pair played back in February of 2023.
Kenyah Stubbs was her usual excellent self, scoring 42 points along with nine rebounds and six assists. That makes it 19 consecutive games in which she has scored at least a third of Hanford's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Nevaeh Lockett, who scored nine points along with 15 rebounds and four blocks.
Several Hawks players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Aiyana Murray, who scored nine points along with nine rebounds and two steals. Murray has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last four times she's played. Another player making a difference was Phoenix Ryan, who scored 16 points.
The victory got Hanford back to even at 10-10. As for Mission Oak, their defeat dropped their record down to 15-7.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Hanford will take on Lemoore at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Lemoore is coming into the game on a five-game losing streak. As for Mission Oak, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Dinuba at 7:15 p.m. on Wednesday.
