The West Catholic Burrs will head out on the road to challenge the Archbishop Carroll Patriots at 6:00 p.m. Both teams come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
West Catholic posted their closest victory since January 16th on Tuesday. They narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past Conwell-Egan Catholic 58-55. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
West Catholic's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Ciani Scott, who scored 15 points along with five blocks. Ciana Blake was another key contributor, scoring nine points along with five assists and four steals.
Meanwhile, Archbishop Carroll scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Sunday. They blew past Conwell-Egan Catholic 69-48. Archbishop Carroll has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven matchups by 21 points or more this season.
West Catholic now has a winning record of 11-10. As for Archbishop Carroll, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 12-8.
West Catholic might still be hurting after the 58-34 loss they got from Archbishop Carroll when the teams last played back in January of 2023. Can West Catholic avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
