The Los Molinos Bulldogs will face off against the Trinity Wolves at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday. Los Molinos is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 11.2 runs per game this season.
Los Molinos proved they can win big on Saturday (they won by ten) and on Tuesday they proved they can win the close ones too. They never let Redding Christian get on the board and left with a 2-0 win. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Bulldogs have posted since May 1, 2024.
Not much got past Izick Nelson, who gave up just a hit and racked up nine Ks to keep Redding Christian off the board. Nelson has been consistent: he hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in eight consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Wyatt Gillett, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with two doubles, one run, and one RBI. That's the most hits he has posted since back in March.
Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Trinity). They came out on top against Fall River by a score of 20-17 on Friday. The Wolves haven't had any issues with the Bulldogs recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.
Trinity saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Eli F, who went 1-for-6 with one run.
Trinity hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Fall River struck out ten times.
Los Molinos has been performing well recently as they've won 11 of their last 14 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-6 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.5 runs on average over those games. As for Trinity, their win bumped their record up to 3-10.
Trinity's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Los Molinos has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .485. It's a different story for Trinity, though, as they've only averaged .241. Will they be able to contain Los Molinos' hitters?
Everything went Los Molinos' way against Trinity in their previous meeting back in March of 2022, as Los Molinos made off with a 12-6 victory. Will the Bulldogs repeat their success, or do the Wolves have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
