Baseball Game Preview: Millennium Falcons vs. Aspire Langston Hughes Academy Titans

For the second straight game, Millennium will face off against Aspire Langston Hughes Academy. Millennium will challenge Aspire Langston Hughes Academy at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Millennium is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 10.3 runs per game this season.

Millennium took a loss when they played away from home on March 10th, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Wednesday. Everything went their way against Aspire Langston Hughes Academy as Millennium made off with a 26-2 victory. The result was nothing new for the Falcons, who have now won four games by ten runs or more so far this season.

Edward Moschetti was a standout: he went 5-for-6 with four RBI, two runs, and one stolen base. Millennium is undefeated when Moschetti posts two or more runs, but 0-3 otherwise. Another player making a difference was Ares Araujo, who scored three runs and stole three bases while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances.

Moschetti wasn't the only one working in the hit department: Millennium kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 17 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least eight hits in four consecutive matchups.

Millennium's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 4-3. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.3 runs on average over those games. As for Aspire Langston Hughes Academy, they are on a five-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-1.
