Totino-Grace extended the longest winning streak in Northwest Suburban this week by beating Robbinsdale Armstrong, 42-6. The victory was the seventh in a row for the Eagles.
Champlin Park was able to crack the Top 25 in the state rankings this week after topping Anoka. The Rebels came in at 21 in the state poll after placing at number 29 last week.
Andover's dynamic duo of Connor Wilkie and Chris Larson proved tough for Park Center to stop, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Wilkie threw for 178 yards and two touchdowns and Larson had 81 yards receiving. Tyler Evans helped Andover's passing attack out by catching three balls for 43 yards.
Adekunle Ayinde was the most productive running back in the league this week. He ran for 154 yards on 23 carries as Blaine bested the Pirates. Teammate Alex Copa added to the ground attack by rushing for 44 yards.
Mitch Letourneau made the biggest impact on defense this week as the Tornadoes lost to Champlin Park. The 5-foot-10 senior racked up one sack.
On the ground, Mike Korton's team's Michael Sales has rushed for 752 yards which leads the league. The leading receiver in the league this season is Bryce Marquardt. The Champlin Park star has 31 catches for 525 yards.
The marquee game in Northwest Suburban this week will be the clash between the Rebels and Maple Grove. Champlin Park enters the contest ranked 21st in the state, while the Crimson ranks 10th.
The top two defenses in the league will face off this season when Osseo takes on Totino-Grace. The Orioles have allowed 92 points this season, while Jeff Ferguson's team has given up 72. Osseo allowed 10 points last week as it beat Elk River.
The Eagles took down the Falcons 42-6 last week, the largest margin of any game.
