Wisdom won the last time they faced Milby, and Ajani Mayeux did his part to make sure it happened again. The Generals came out on top against the Buffs by a score of 50-43 on Saturday thanks in part to Mayeux, who rushed for 235 yards on only 13 carries. His longest rush was for an impressive 60 yards, which helps to explain his lofty yards per carry total.

Several Buffs players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Gabriel Gutierrez, who threw for 349 yards and seven TDs while picking up 12.5 yards per attempt. Milby's leading receiver Artavion Davis was Gutierrez's top target yet again, picking up 216 receiving yards and four scores.

Wisdom has started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they've averaged 46.0 points this season. As for Milby, their loss dropped their record down to 1-1.

Wisdom didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 39-0 defeat against Fort Bend Kempner on the 11th. As for Milby, they have also already played their next matchup, a 56-0 loss against Waltrip on the 12th.
