It was a proper cat-fight when Grinnell faced off against Marshalltown on Friday. The Tigers put the hurt on the Bobcats with a sharp 9-1 victory. The Tigers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won nine matches by six runs or more this season.

Grinnell's win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 18-3. Those home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.8 runs over those games. As for Marshalltown, they moved to 8-11 with that loss, which also ended their four-game winning streak.

Looking ahead, Grinnell will face off against Independence at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. Marshalltown has already played their next game (against West Marshall), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
