The Kermit Yellow Jackets scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Saturday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat New Way Christian Academy 77-23 on the road. For those curious, yes, that was the biggest win Kermit has managed all season.
Kermit's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Bryson Bennett led the charge by scoring 15 points along with six rebounds. That's the first time this season that Bennett scored 15 or more points. The team also got some help courtesy of Julian Saenz, who scored 14 points along with six rebounds.
Kermit is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last nine contests, which provided a nice bump to their 9-5 record this season. As for New Way Christian Academy, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-8.
Kermit is on the road again on Tuesday and play against Stanton at 8:00 p.m. on December 19th. New Way Christian Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
