The Orangewood Academy Spartans had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 41.5 points), and they went ahead and made it three on Friday. They snuck past Windward with a 60-54 win. For Orangewood Academy, this counts as revenge for the 61-58 defeat Windward walked away with the last time they faced one another back in March of 2022.
Leading Orangewood Academy to victory were Alissa Belen and Vivian Grenald. Belen scored 17 points, while Grenald scored 17 points. The contest was Grenald's third in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Vicky Om, who scored 8 points.
Orangewood Academy has yet to lose a matchup at home this season, leaving them with a 3-0 record. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 66.3 points per game. As for Windward, their loss dropped their record down to 2-1.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Orangewood Academy will take on Chino Hills at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Windward will be staying on the road on Wednesday to face off against Chaminade at 6:00 p.m. on November 29th.
