Curie is 0-3 against St. Rita since May of 2023 but things could change on Tuesday. The Condors will square off against the Mustangs at 4:30 p.m. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this contest.
Curie heads in on the heels of a playoff matchup on Monday. They fell just short of Ogden International by a score of 8-6.

Angel Amador put in work while hitting and pitching. He pitched 3.1 innings while giving up just one earned (and three unearned) runs off three hits. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in three consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with one stolen base and one RBI.
In other batting news, Daimian Perez made the most of his time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 1-for-3 with three RBI, one run, and one double. Another player making a difference was Uly Briseno, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with one stolen base and one run.
Meanwhile, St. Rita faced Chicago Mt. Carmel in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Monday. The Mustangs fell 8-4 to the Caravan. The Mustangs have struggled against the Caravan recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.
St. Rita saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Colin Quinn, who went 2-for-4 with one double and one RBI.
Curie's record is now 8-7-1. As for St. Rita, their record now sits at 18-10.
Tuesday's game might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Curie has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .650. However, it's not like St. Rita struggles in that department as they've averaged .461. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Curie suffered a grim 19-0 defeat to St. Rita in their previous meeting back in April of 2025. Can the Condors avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
