Maple River have had a week off and are no doubt ready to get back on the field. On Friday they take on Sibley East at 7:00 PM. It might come down to the wire as the MaxPreps state rankings project a close matchup.
Maple River didn't have too much trouble with Luverne two weeks ago as they won 28-12.
Last week, Sibley East have to be hurting after a devastating 6-39 loss at the hands of New Richland-Hartland-Ellendale-Geneva. This makes it the second defeat in a row for Sibley East.
Maple River's win lifted them to 2-0 while Sibley East's defeat dropped them down to 0-2. We'll see if Maple River's success rolls on or if Sibley East are able to steal their positive momentum.
