Crest gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener  on Friday. They put the hurt on the Yates Center Wildcats with a sharp  48-28 win. The Lancers haven't had any issues with the Wildcats recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive  victory against them.
 Lane Yocham threw for 176 yards and three  touchdowns.   Kole Walter was his top target, picking up 88 receiving yards and three  scores.  On the ground,  Jensin Barker rushed for 164 yards and a pair of  TDs.
 Yates Center's loss  came despite strong showings from  Marcus Cummings and  Gavin Busteed.  Cummings gained 187 total yards and a touchdown, while  Busteed rushed for 65 yards and three  scores. Busteed also deserves a shoutout for his performance on D,  making three total tackles (2.0 for loss) and defending two passes.
