Maxwell dropped down to 11-14 on Thursday, ending the team's four-game streak of wins. They took a blow against the Centura Centurions, falling 74-16. The matchup marked the Wildcats' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Madelyn Flock was Maxwell's leading scorer, having posted seven points. Kristyn Cheek took the lead distributing the ball, coming up with two assists.

As for Centura, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 23-3. They have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 20 contests by 23 points or more this season.

Centura found their leader in sophomore Taya Taukiuvea, who almost dropped a double-double with 23 points and nine boards. Taukiuvea has been hot recently, having also posted five or more steals the last four times she's played. Kennedy Davis was another key player, shooting 63% from the field to rack up 16 points in addition to five rebounds and five steals.

Maxwell does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Centura, they are taking a road trip to square off against Alma at 6:00 p.m. on the 27th. The two teams have allowed few points on average (the Centurions 24.7, the Cardinals 25.5) so any points scored will be well earned.
