The Don Lugo Conquistadores can finally bid farewell to their three-game losing streak thanks to their game on Tuesday. They came out on top against Charter Oak by a score of 53-41. For Don Lugo, this counts as revenge for the 42-39 loss Charter Oak walked away with the last time they faced one another back in December of 2022.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Don Lugo to victory, but perhaps none more so than Sarah Magadan, who scored 23 points along with 4 steals. That makes it six consecutive games in which Magadan has scored at least 25% of Don Lugo's points. Issabela Medina was another key contributor, scoring 8 points along with 13 rebounds.
The win got Don Lugo back to even at 3-3. As for Charter Oak, they have not been sharp recently, as they've lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-3 record this season.
Don Lugo will head out on the road to face off against Azusa at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Azusa's defense has only allowed 22.4 points per game this season, so Don Lugo's offense will have their work cut out for Don Lugo. As for Charter Oak, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Pomona at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
