After two games on the road, Don Lugo is heading back home. They will finish 2023 at home by hosting the St. Paul Swordsmen at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
Last Friday, Don Lugo might have been a little too into the holiday spirit, gifting La Serna an easy 40-19 win. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Don Lugo has scored all season.
Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the most dominant came from Issabela Medina, who scored four points along with eight rebounds.
Perhaps unsurprisingly given the score, Don Lugo struggled to work together and finished the game with only three assists. That's the fewest assists they've managed all season.
Meanwhile, it was a hard-fought matchup, but St. Paul had to settle for a 54-51 defeat against Oak Hills on December 5th. St. Paul has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Don Lugo's defeat dropped their record down to 8-5. As for St. Paul, they now have a losing record at 6-7.
