There's no place like home for the Winters Warriors, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road last Monday. They took down Paradise 37-19 on Wednesday. Given Winters' advantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 475th, while Paradise is ranked 1035th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Leading Winters to victory were Emily Dodic and Jordan Tucker. Dodic scored 14 points, while Tucker scored 16 points.
Despite the loss, Paradise still got an impressive performance from Nyah Baker, who scored ten points. That was a full 52.6% of Paradise's points, marking the third time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points.
Winters has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight matches, which provided a nice bump to their 10-4 record this season. As for Paradise, their defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 3-7.
Winters will be playing in front of their home fans against Willows at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Willows is coming into the game on a three-game losing streak. As for Paradise, they will head out on the road to take on Durham at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Durham will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak.
