The Escondido Charter Tigers will face off against the Canyon Hills Rattlers at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Escondido Charter knows how to get runs on the board -- the team has finished with ten runs or more in their past three matches -- so hopefully Canyon Hills likes a good challenge.
It was a proper cat-fight when Escondido Charter challenged Liberty Charter on Monday. Escondido Charter was the clear victors by a 15-8 margin over Liberty Charter. Fans of the Tigers have seen this all before: every one of the games they've played this season has ended in a blowout of 6+ runs.

Joey Seavello and Karl (Liam) Ricciardi made a big impact no matter where they played. On the mound, Seavello pitched one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. Meanwhile, Ricciardi tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Furthermore, Seavello didn't allow a single earned run, the first time he has blanked an opponent since back in April of 2024. At bat, Seavello scored two runs and stole a base while going 1-for-4, while Ricciardi went 2-for-4 with five RBI, two runs, and one stolen base. Those five RBI gave Ricciardi a new career-high.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Sam Romero, who scored five runs and stole Five bases. while getting on base in all five of his plate appearances. What's more, he posted three hits, the most he's had since back in April of 2024. Matthew Hydar was another key player, going 1-for-4 with one triple and two RBI.
Escondido Charter was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .412. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .321 or higher every time they've taken the field this season.
Meanwhile, Canyon Hills posted their closest victory since April 11, 2024 on Friday. They narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past High Tech CV 6-5. The Rattlers' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.
Ollie Korman made a splash no matter where he played. He pitched one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up a single earned run in three consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, scoring a run while getting on base in three of his five plate appearances.
In other batting news, Sam Wabe was excellent, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 2-for-4. He also brought in two RBI, marking his first of the season. Another player making a difference was Taylon Sheriff, who scored a run and stole a base while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.
Escondido Charter's victory bumped their record up to 3-0. As for Canyon Hills, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-2-1.
