Cosumnes Oaks has enjoyed the comforts of home their last two games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will square off against the Pleasant Grove Eagles at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. Hopefully Cosumnes Oaks focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 11 on Friday.
Last Friday, Cosumnes Oaks didn't have too much trouble with the Timberwolves at home as they won 65-50.
Caitlin Subejano was her usual excellent self, going 7 for 12 from beyond the arc en route to 39 points and 2 assists. As a matter of fact, that's the most points she has scored all season. Nya Barron was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on ten points and ten rebounds.
Meanwhile, Pleasant Grove unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak last Friday. They were beaten by Franklin 66-32. Pleasant Grove was down 50-28 at the end of the third quarter, and things only got worse from there.
Cosumnes Oaks' win bumped their record up to 16-10. As for Pleasant Grove, they now have a losing record at 11-12.
Cosumnes Oaks was able to grind out a solid victory over the Eagles in their previous matchup back in January, winning 56-43. The rematch might be a little tougher for Cosumnes Oaks since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
