La Costa Canyon has played every game this season on their home court, but they'll have to hit the road on Tuesday. They will face off against the Del Norte Nighthawks at 5:30 p.m. Both teams come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
On Wednesday, La Costa Canyon really took it to St. Joseph Academy for the full four quarters, racking up a 66-37 win at home.
Meanwhile, Del Norte took care of business in their home opener on Saturday (and then some). They took their matchup at home with ease, bagging a 71-32 win over Steele Canyon.
Bailey Barnhard had a dynamite game for Del Norte, dropping a double-double on 31 points and 11 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Kiana Cadigan, who scored 13 points along with 5 steals.
The wins kept both teams' perfect 2-0 season records intact.
La Costa Canyon couldn't quite finish off Del Norte in their previous meeting back in November of 2021 and fell 56-54. Thankfully for La Costa Canyon, Calissa Tyrrell (who scored 7 points along with 8 rebounds and 6 assists) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result?
