San Bernardino has enjoyed a three-game homestand but will soon have to dust off their road jerseys. They will take on the Jurupa Valley Jaguars at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully San Bernardino focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 28 on Thursday.
Last Thursday, San Bernardino was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 43-38 to Indian Springs.
Despite the defeat, San Bernardino saw an underclassman step up: Laniah Porter scored 11 points along with seven blocks and five rebounds. Jasmine Ramirez was another key contributor, scoring eight points.
Jurupa Valley fell on hard times earlier this season, but after back-to-back victories it seems like their luck might finally be changing. They enjoyed a cozy 31-12 win over Rubidoux on Tuesday.
San Bernardino's defeat ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 12-8. As for Jurupa Valley, their win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 3-17.
San Bernardino strolled past Jurupa Valley when the teams last played back in December of 2023 by a score of 44-26. The rematch might be a little tougher for San Bernardino since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
