Twin River got a massive performance out of JLee Van Driel, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, four runs, and three RBI. Van Driel has been hot for a while, having also posted at least one stolen base the last 14 times she's played. Kielyn Dohmen was another key player, going 2-for-3 with one home run, three runs, and one stolen base.
They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Twin River kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Ord only managed four.
Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Bishop Neumann, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Monday. Everything went their way against Guardian Angels Central Catholic on Tuesday as they made off with an 8-1 victory. The Cavaliers not only won on Tuesday, but they posted their biggest win since September 13th (when they won 15-0).
Addison Sylliaasen made a big impact no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out eight batters over seven innings while giving up just one earned run off four hits. Sylliaasen was also solid in the batter's box, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one RBI. That's the most hits she has posted since back in September.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Aubree Milliken, who went 1-for-4 with one triple, two RBI, and one run. That triple was her first of the season.
Twin River's record now sits at 15-9. As for Bishop Neumann, their record is now 18-8.
Twin River's speedy runners might be the difference in Thursday's game. The Titans have been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 3.8 stolen bases per game. It's a different story for Bishop Neumann, though, as they've been averaging only 1.1 stolen bases. Will they be able to secure the bases, or will Twin River continue to outrun the ball?
Twin River suffered a grim 12-0 defeat to Bishop Neumann in their previous matchup back in October of 2024. Can the Titans avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
