After flying high against Terrell Academy  on Tuesday, Citizens Christian Academy came back down to earth. The Patriots lost  11-5 to the Wayne County Yellow Jackets on Friday. The loss put an end to the Patriots' undefeated start to the season.
  Emma Gourley made the most of her time in the batter's box despite the final result and  went a perfect 3-for-3 with three  RBI and one  double. The team also got some help courtesy of  Brilynn Waldron, who  went 1-for-4 with one  triple, two  RBI,  and one  run.
Having lost for the first time  this season, Citizens Christian Academy  fell to 2-1. As for Wayne County, they now also have a winning record of 2-1.
 Both  squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Citizens Christian Academy is headed away from home for the first time to  challenge  Fullington Academy  at 4:00  p.m.  on Thursday. As for Wayne County, they will challenge Jeff Davis at 6:00  p.m.  on Monday.
