Softball Recap: Lincoln North Star Has No Trouble Against Lincoln High

Lincoln North Star's game on Saturday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Tuesday. Everything went their way against the Lincoln High Links as they made off with a 14-2 win. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Navigators considering their one-run performance the match before.

The team relied heavily on Haylee Van Pelt, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with three runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in September of 2024. Another player making a difference was Madison Chubbuck, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with two RBI, one run, and one double.

Lincoln North Star always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .773. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Lincoln High only posted an OBP of .308.

Lincoln North Star picked up their first home victory, bumping their record up to 2-4. As for Lincoln High, their loss dropped their record down to 1-3.
