The Edison Tigers will venture away from home to challenge the Justin Garza Guardians at 3:30 p.m. on Friday. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Edison headed into their last game having not scored more than two runs for five straight, but Minarets let them put that streak behind them. The Tigers walked away with a 10-5 victory over the Mustangs on Wednesday. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Tigers as it put an end to their five-game losing streak.

Edison let Anthony Cobian and Donyae Thomas run wild. Cobian fired off three triples, four runs, and two stolen bases while going 4-for-4, while Thomas went a perfect 4-for-4 with five stolen bases, three RBI, and two runs. Those five stolen bases gave Thomas a new career-high. J Reyna was another key player, going 3-for-4 with two RBI, one run, and one double.
Edison always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .528. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
Meanwhile, Justin Garza beat Edison 6-1 on Tuesday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Guardians.
Luke Trukki spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned run on four hits and racked up ten Ks. Justin Garza is 3-1 when Trukki allows one or fewer earned runs, but 6-14 otherwise.
At the plate, Isaac Perales was excellent, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with two runs and two RBI.
Edison's victory bumped their record up to 6-16-1. As for Justin Garza, their win bumped their record up to 9-15.
Edison came up short against Justin Garza in their previous matchup on Tuesday, falling 6-1. Can the Tigers avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
