Holton-Arms and the Mighty Hoppers are an even 5-5 against one another since November of 2016, but not for long. Both teams will face off at 4:15 p.m. on February 1st without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Last Tuesday, everything went Holton-Arms' way against the Snails as the made off with a 50-27 win. The victory was just what Holton-Arms needed coming off of a 59-29 defeat in their prior matchup.
Meanwhile, Georgetown Day waltzed into their match on Tuesday with six straight wins but they left with seven. They claimed a resounding 61-27 victory over National Cathedral at home.
Georgetown Day got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Nevaeh Roberson out in front who almost dropped a double-double on 17 points and nine rebounds. Roberson hasn't dropped below nine rebounds for three straight games. Madisyn Moore was another key contributor, scoring 19 points along with four steals.
Holton-Arms pushed their record up to 11-4 with that victory, which was their fifth straight at home. As for Georgetown Day, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine games, which provided a nice bump to their 14-6 record this season.
