Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Lincoln). They were the clear victors by a 14-0 margin over the Center Cougars on Friday. The result was nothing new for the Fighting Zebras, who have now won six matchups by seven runs or more so far this season.
Landyn Plaut was a major factor no matter where he played. On the mound, he kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out eight over five innings pitched. He has been consistent : he hasn't tossed less than seven strikeouts in six consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with one home run and two RBI.
